1
Site Planning Review & Theme Design
-
Collaborate with the design team to establish a cohesive design theme and parameters for the project.
-
Develop site layouts that integrate architectural and landscape spaces, focusing on user experience, circulation, and aesthetic cohesion.
-
Determine key levels (structural, finish, and recessed) to facilitate proper landscape grading and drainage.
2
Conceptual Landscape Design
-
Create illustrative plans, sections, and 3D perspectives to visualize hardscape (paths, walls, water features) and softscape (trees, shrubs, lawns).
-
Define landscape lighting concepts, including fixture types, placements, and wattage requirements.
-
Provide a preliminary cost estimate based on project scale and unit rates.
3
Design Development & Schematic Design
-
Refine approved concepts into technical drawings for coordination with engineers (structural, MEP, civil).
-
Specify materials, finishes, and construction details for hardscape elements (paving, steps, planters, etc.).
-
Develop grading and drainage plans in collaboration with civil engineers.
-
Outline planting schemes and key tree locations.
4
Construction Documentation
-
Produce detailed construction drawings for hardscape (layout plans, material schedules, lighting plans) and softscape (planting plans, species lists, soil specifications).
-
Ensure compliance with design intent and coordination with other disciplines.
5
Tendering &
Contractor Evaluation
-
Assist in selecting qualified contractors for landscape works.
-
Review bids, analyze proposals, and provide recommendations for contract award.
6
Construction Supervision & Field Observations
-
Conduct pre-construction meetings to clarify standards and expectations.
-
Perform periodic site inspections to verify adherence to design documents.
-
Oversee planting and hardscape installation, ensuring quality and compliance.
-
Issue punch lists and final approvals upon project completion.
